This is the sole cover, written by George Harrison, this is the only song I sing with the Whie Album Ensemble, and it started with hammond organ, my first love. I felt Pauls, and often Johns tunes got the better treatment, the video and song seemed cheaply rushed, but its fantastic and very trippy. I asked David to throw in some James Brown to the drum feel, and it worked. Barry Philips, who played Cello for Ravi Shankar, and the WAE, did the celli and the unearthly dilrhuba! I purchased the license to record and sell this song, via harry fox agency.
THERES A FOG UPON LA
AND MY FRIENDS HAVE LOST THEIR WAY
WE'LL BE OVER SO THEY SAID
NOW THEY'VE LOST THEMSELVES INSTEAD
PLEASE DONT BE LONG PLEASE DONT YOU BE VERY LONG
PLEASE DONT BE LONG, OR I MAY BE ASLEEP
WELL IT ONLY GOES TO SHOW
AND I TOLD THEM WHERE TO GO
ASK A POLICEMAN ON THE STREET
THERES SO MANY THERE TO MEET
PLEASE DONT BE LONG PLEASE DONT YOU BE VERY LONG
PLEASE DONT BE LONG, OR I MAY BE ASLEEP
NOW ITS PAST MY BED I KNOW
AND I'D REALLY LIKE TO GO
SOON WILL BE THE BREAK OF DAY
SITTING HERE ON BLUE JAY WAY
PLEASE DONT BE LONG PLEASE DONT YOU BE VERY LONG
PLEASE DONT BE LONG, OR I MAY BE ASLEEP
PLEASE DONT BE LONG PLEASE DONT YOU BE VERY LONG
PLEASE DONT BE LONG
PLEASE DONT BE LONG PLEASE DONT YOU BE VERY LONG
PLEASE DONT BE LONG
PLEASE DONT BE LONG PLEASE DONT YOU BE VERY LONG
PLEASE DONT BE LONG
DONT BE LONG - DONT BE LONG - DONT BE LONG
DONT BE LONG - DONT BE LONG - DONT BE LONG
